First time applying gelcoat, how long can it sit before sanding?

Getting ready to bring my boat home and put it in my garage to repair a crack in the gelcoat. If I dremel out the crack tomorrow and apply the gelcoat, can I wait until Saturday to wet sand the gelcoat or Is that too long?

You could try sanding too early.----I doubt you could wait too long.-----What do the instructions say about curing / hardening time at various temperatures ???

It doesn’t really say. It says I can speed up the process by adding a heat lamp or blow drier. It will be curing in a 65 degree garage.

If you can not leave a mark with gentle push of a finger nail then you can start sanding.
