That ad: It's a scam listing, as far as I know. Avoid it.

Others can debate the bass boat usefulness for anything other than calm water bass fishun.

Re: first boat questions

I've never seen a CC model like that. Definitely an 80's hull. I'd love to see some more pics of the interior cuz I kinda wonder if someone did a CC conversion on a bowrider. I suppose it wouldn't be an issue if it was well done. That 115 Evinrude is a 1990-ish model and is a solid motor (if it's got good compression, etc). I'd find out if it has power trim. Some SPL models didn't and I think not having that would be a major PITA on a boat like that especially for fishing. The trailer looks pretty basic with no fenders and what not. It does seem to fit the boat well though. Prices vary wildly across the country and iboaters tend to be really cheap when asked for estimates but I'm really thinking that's a $3k boat.

I would go with the Javelin, for kneeboarding and tubing, but I dont know what the waves are like in the bay. The Javelin is not as deep.

So I bought the javelin. I will post pics later. I could not resist today and took it out. I have a question about trimming it out on the go. Is the front end supposed to sink back down as you go?it planes real quick but it just kinda seems to nose dive.

The bow should become more parallel to the surface of the water as you go. Once you have planed out use the trim button to move the motor up or down until you get the desired performance. It all depends upon the load in the boat; people, fuel, bait, tackle, etc. Use the trim button, other than the trailer button if it has one, to adjust it.
