Well since getting at boat, a 21 ft Sylvan with a 175 hp Merc, vintage 1995. I've just recently found this site and find it very informative with all the info available for engine troubles that may occur.
I have an alarm that goes off after my boat has been shut down, its a beep beep beep, sounds like its coming from inside the ignition /shifter mechanism?
To stop it I have been removing the accessory wire from the battery, but then none of my electronics work when using the trolling motor. Anyone experienced this sort of thing before?
Anyone use Amsoil 2 stroke synthetic for the oil injection?
My boat is completely covered in a brilliant blue carpet, which I was thinking about removing parts of it, like around the windsheild and dash areas. Does anyone know what the surface is that is underneath the carpet, wood or metal?
I am a tall fellow at 6'6" and I find the seats some what uncomfortable? Perhaps they are worn out or just designed for shorter folks, can some one recommend a better seat?
