We just picked one up also two nights ago... a McFast 5.. I guess this is our "first" boat for the family....

We have a 8' livingston and an old aluminum boat we have been using to take the kids fishing... This came along on Craigslist and we said what the heck..

Look forward to your build.... I think we are in the "same boat"..

Hey Monark,
I realize this thread is a little old but I'd love to see more pics of your boat after you pulled the cap. I have an '81 Mcfast VSF which is real similar and im really interested to see what I can expect to find when I finally get the guts to pull mine apart. Nice boat btw.
