It sounds like it might just be a little lean. It goes away when you give it a little throttle right? You have to make the carb adjustments when you are underway on the water. Can't set it in a barrel. Running synthetic oil really helps reduce the crap in the water and its biodegradable. I highly recommend it.

Steve, no snow here. The harbour opened up and I was out testing outboards last weekend. Here's a short video of my recently acquired 1954 Evinrude Fleetwin running. Hit a whopping 11 kmh/7 mph. Jumped up to 15 kmh/10 mph if I leaned forward.

I'm thinking this 15 should push me a little over 20mph maybe 25 if i'm lucky.

I'll put 20 bucks on 23mph.

I get 22-23 mph out of my 15 hp's.
