what is the speckled-grey coating inside the bilge area and ski locker? Is this sprayed on over the fiberglass and where can a guy purchase this? I am doing some repair to the ski locker floor of my '97 fish & ski and want to retain the factory look when it is done. Thanks.

I beleive what you are seeing is called "Zolotone" Its a vailable in a variety of colors. There may be other products out there, but thats the one that comes to mind. Call a few autobody suply houses in your area and see if they have some. It used to be common inside trunk areas but I think thats pretty much gone now!

They sell Zolotone or similar products at auto stores. I have achieved a similar appearance by chucking a large wooden spoon into my cordless drill, dipping in paint, and letting it fly. Messy, yes, fun, maybe, does it work, for the most part. Good luck...
