Finaly Have It Running Again But I

Just want to say thanks to everyone on this site. I figured out my problem of no spark. The boat is a 1986 thompson 305 motor alpha one prop four barrel. Using the chart i found on this site and in the manual I found in the adult only section. The problem was the ignition amplifier. But now I would like to found out what caused it to fail. So it doesn't happen again.


Here is the stupid question of the day. The only thing I did differant when the amplifier blew was my battery wouldn't charge so I took the one out of my truck. So since it was a truck battery and not a marine battery would that cause it to take out the amplifier?

Ayuh,.... Poo Poo Happens,.... A 12V battery, is a 12V battery....
It does happen, but Not commonly...
