Fill Lower Unit

Anybody know how much oil it takes to fill the lower unit on a 2000 125hp MERC THANKS for any help. I've got one quart but I think I need more.

Should be 22.5 ounces.

One quart should be more than enough. Just fill it from the bottom, with the motor vertical, and stop filling when oil comes out the upper vent hole.

Well, I went ahead and filled it. With my luck I will forget in the spring and if I tag it the tag will fall off Kicker is, not even sure if the motor runs or the LU is any good.
