Thanks guys.
I'd tripped over a cable or hose and fell. On the way down, I stuck out my right hand to stop myself and injured that, then fell onto the floor jack, hitting the right side of my face onto the saddle, then whomped down on my right shoulder. Fortunately, my eyeglasses mostly protected me but they got scratched up in the bifocal area. My glasses are still usable and I have a regular appointment in a week or so. Along the way down, my left big toe got seriously bruised. Must have whanged it on the concrete floor.
At first, I decided to just Shake it Off. (Insert Taylor Swift video here!
)
My wife and I continued cleaning & clearing the garage and got the boat back in there. Then, a couple hours later, my hand started really swelling, so I went to a local Urgent Care. The doc there told me that since I'd hit my head/face that I needed to go to the ER for a CT scan, especially since I'm on a blood thinner and while there to get x-rays of my foot and hand. She reminded me of what happened to Bob Saget. So, off I headed to the ER.
CT scan was clear and no broken bones in my foot and hand. Just bruised.
I took some Tylenol and am doing fine. My hand is doing better and I can close it most of the way. Strength isn't back yet, but it's improving.
I'd post pix of my ugly toe
, but you know... pix.
Thanks again.
