You keep bringing up 15", 20",25", short shaft, long shaft, extra long shaft and then add question marks. It has been explained to you several times that these dimensions are just approximate, it can vary from brand to brand, it seems you haven't grasped that detail. This is circling back to a motor issue, maybe the prop, but could easily be something else and it's not putting out its full HP rating. I would start looking in that direction.

Read an article in a " fishing magazine " many years ago.---Author talked about using a short shaft motor because of all the weeds in a particular lake.----Now these posts today again prove that many folks simply do not understand and are slow to learn.

C'mon Racer. My dad wrote that article about Carp Lake in Michigan (Field and Stream circa 1960). You calling him stoopid? Shoot, he was the mechanic, but I'm the one what had to row home. (He sold what was left of the motor.)

let it go.

Please guy's, (and anyone I missed in the quotes) let's try a bit harder to make more of an effort to stay within a positive attitude covering engine to transom height, boat weight, overall boat design, engine running correctly, verifying RPM with a gauge vs guessing along with the correct type of propellers to use to help make the boat perform it's best vs getting into a negative back and forth causing any additional animosity to all involved within this almost wayward topic.

Your positive efforts to help someone out are truly appreciated by the hosts of iboats.....Thanks everyone, we know you have it in you.

Best regards,
Closely watching, iboats Mod team

don't see much blood in the water out here, Fun Times. pretty thick skins all around, and there's a pretty good chance the OP will get to some solutions. It's an interesting thread, however messy it plays.

If it's all that offensive to iBoats, close it down. Or just let it wind around and play out. I would like to see what the OP comes up with.

Naw it's nowhere that bad, we just rather it not turn the corner is all.

Or just let it wind around and play out.
Hopefully we haven't discouraged anyone from participating to the end solution as that wasn't the intent of the post.

I would like to see what the OP comes up with.
We'd like to see this as well with all of your continued positive support.:encouragement:

Thanks guys.
