My particular industry lost many people in the towers. Regardless, I have multiple Financial District clients and when I go, I can't put things through this analysis/fairness/add any description, lens...even this particular situation. When I go to NY I absolutely love it and just expect that I will spend a ton of money. Where government is involved, there are just an endless number of discussion topics such as this.

Those look to be usual NYC salaries. I don't know a single person that doesn't earn medium to high 6 figures of all the people I do business with as well as my friends. Many are over 7. Of course those aren't tax funded salaries.
