Expert Advice. 1915 Evinrude, what is it?

I have this EvinRude magneto. It is about 3 1/2 feet tall and weighs over 100 pounds. On the top part it reads "EVINRUDE MAGENTO *newline* PATD'D U.S.A. MAR 23 1915 *newline* JULY 20 1915 - JAN 25 1916" and on thew bottom base it reads "EVINRUDE MOTOR CO. MILWAUKEE NO 1" Can anyone tell me anything about this? I would really appreciate it.
