Hey guys i got a question, I got a 1978 Evinrude outboard 70 hp, the bottom end is cracked , i found a 1974 evinrude bottom end 70 hp will this fit my 1978?
Yep, but make sure you get the shift linkage from the powerhead. They shift opposite from each other. IE -- one pulls the shift rod up for forward, the other pushes the shift rod down.<br /><br />Unless you have a throttle / shift control that you can swap the shift cable around.
