Evinrude 50hp cylinder head torques?

Cylinder head torques, I have an evinrude 50 hp made around 1986ish 2 cylinder, can anybody tell me what i should torque the head down to? <br /><br />Regards Lee

I've done too may of these to count,but torque values I try not to remember.If I remember wrong,it won't be right.So I look it up each time.<br />Also you should have a manual for proper sequence of which bolts to do in what order.<br />If I were to guess .... 16 ft.lbs.But like I said,I'd be looking in the manual.<br /><br />DHP

ya, my cheapo manual says 16 ft.lbs as well

my 1972 said 14 to16 ft. lbon a 65 hp
