Evinrude 235HP need help year/info

Hello all, a friend has a Evinrude 235HP on cover and need some work but I'm having trouble finding what year it is in order to get parts. I got some mod and serial numbers but some I couldn't make out.

MOD: E_ _ _ _ XGDR
SERIAL: R_121414 <--don't know about last 4

Only thing that comes close is a 1985 which is E235TXCOR

Also grabbed some powerhead numbers from little silver circle thing.

200749C <--don't know about the C
J000243 <--don't know about the J

I know I have alot of unknowns but mabey process of elimination will work. Lemme know

Assuming you are mistaken about the "XGDR" which is most likely "XCDR", the engine would be a 1986 model.

The 200749"C"...... the "C" is merely a factory production number, meaning nothing to us individuals.

The "J"000243..... the "J" indicates a Johnson model.

Thanks, yeah looking at the 86' again it looks closer to what I got off the engine thank you I notice 2 diffrent versions of the E225PTXCDA and E225TXCDA which do you think it is? She looks alittle rough , but hopefully we can bring alittle life back. Remove carb for diengagement for the L/U to drop?
