Evinrude 115, difficult starting and rough idling

I just bought a boat with the Ev. 115, the motor starts after several tries from cold, and the motor runs well under load at cruising speed. If shut off for any period of time, when warm, it is very reluctant to start and in some cases refuses to start unless left alone for another half hour. It's touch and go whether the boat will go into gear without stalling, and restarting is next to impossible.

Given the motors cruising performance, i am not sure what this problem could be.

I have the same problem, i have an Evinrude 95' 115hp. The motor runs great at high speeds but even when engine is warm it is difficult to restart, i have rebuilt carburators and i noticed an improvement when idling but still have to give a lot of gas to start. I have been researching and im going to look into the timing and synchrinization. Spark plugs have been replaced. Look for water in the fuel, check float level and low speed jet adjustments. Any other suggestions
