evin 150 1981 heat prob or not

buzzer souded at idle at ramp.
pulledlower changed complete pump kit brp.
water flow was strong . but was weeping water at thermo housing.
changed both thermos and flushed with salt away
poppett was disfigured on right head so ireplaced complete kits both sides
with poppets . fired up ran fine on muffs right head looking from back of boat
seems alittle hotter than right but could touch heads 8 to10 secs with no prob need to know what heat stick ranges to buy to see if thermos are opening and which to buy to see if they are getting to hot

Book says 125 & 163 heat sticks. Both should not melt after engine is running. Normally though, the touchy feely test should suffice. If you can keep your fingers on that flat area just forward of the heads, for several seconds while the engine is at idle, is farily accurate. This is about 140* or so. The t-stats are 143* stats.
