This outfit is very reasonably priced with their products but I am not familiar with web site or epoxy brand. A friend has used them and swears by their products. I am going to be laying up a lot of wood, rebuilding stringers, etc. Web site is Boat Builder Central and epoxy I am considering is System Three Epoxy. Unfortunately, in NW Florida, temperatures vary in the winter and spring so I am also concerned with cure rates vs outside temps. I have heat lamps so the temp should not be a problem.

Gee, most work as you describe may be done with polyester resin. I only use epoxy for critical structural components such as repair of a puncture hole in the hull, where you do not have a lot of surface area to stick the patch to, and where any failure would be a real problem. Stringers have lots of area for the resin to adhere to. Remember, the original boat hull was polyester resin.

System Three is a premium brand. I would not hesitate.

I use epoxy almost exclusively these days, from fabbing 1' parts to coating a 32 foot boat. No odor, vinegar cleanup, generally good bond to anything. Some people are sensitive to skin contact. It costs a little more, but compared to the other costs of fabrication, no deal breaker. The resin is a bit more flexible than polyester, which can be good or bad. For bonding rigid structures such as glass-filled engineering plastic, I use JB weld, a steel-filled epoxy, for its rigidity.
