Engine turns over wont start

hello all, question for all. I have a 60hp Evinrude, Engine turns over but wont start. it started right up 2 weeks ago. Only thing done was engine removed to put steering cable on and put back by a mechanic. Any ideas

1965 model ---1985 model; ---1995 model or a 2005 model ??

Got spark, fuel, compression ??

its a 1995 engine, it ran fine 2 weeks ago, plugs look fouled, I have new ones ordered be in tomorrow. any one know what the gap should be set at?

okay, the ones in right now are at about .35. I will adjust the new ones

If the plugs are fouled, there is likely no spark. No spark can be caused by kill switch lanyard being pulled.

Thank you all for your input. I feel so stupid, but I figured it out. I thought it had to be tied to the motor being pulled off to have the steering cable put on by the mechanic. The fuel connection at the motor was not all the way plugged in. After i plugged it all the way in she started right up. Now I have 2 back up sets of plugs which can never hurt.
