Engines have two rotations clockwise and counterclockwise. Yet while looking for a remanufactured engine I noticed some are listed as reverse rotation. What exactly does that mean?

Facing from stern to bow, top of flywheel moves to the left twords bottom. Tag on valve cover identifies this as CC (counter clockwise). I guess that is standard rotation as implied.unless you have a really old boat with inboards, you have a left hand rotation motor (standard rotation)
