Hi I have a 2004 Yamaha 115 115TXRC and this morning I was headed out fishing and my alarm came on I think low oil, when I got it home and tried to prime it with switch at tank it would fill it and I couldnt hear motor on the fill tank running, so I pulled tank out and removed motor and hooked up 12 volts to it and it runs, what else do I need to check to see why its no pumping to the engine tank, I still have the tank out and the filter was not clogged

It's been years since I had a two stroke but isn't there a tiny filter between the tank and the pump.

You need to know what is causing the alarm. Not just think. Guess really.

If you powered the remote tank pump motor directly (and correctly) and it ran, but it would not pump oil, then the pump is inoperative.

However, with the key on and the toggle switch pressed, the pump should also have come on. It may or may not then pump oil. If the pump does not come on then you have a wiring problem.

He says the pump is running but not pumping oil to the filter. Could be the motor is fine but the pump part is defective.
