Being brand new, as in 2022 or 23, you sure its a TKS and not a MPI?
Serial number would help

Wow. Mechanically meets none of the standard 'starts then quits' scenarios. Does it splutter and kick then die? Or like the ignition is turned off?

Have you pulled the fuel water separator and dumped contents into a clear glass container to check for anything but gas?

Have you pulled the filter in the bottom of the fuel pump to check for same?

I would consider Teeing the fuel line before the carb and seeing what fuel pressure is. Should be 5-8 PSI. Or teeing the line before the separator and seeing how much vacuum it pulls.

Does it run for a full 30 sec or is it actually less time ? Sounds similar to when my man oveboard switch got tripped , would start fine then die when key went into run …

Year 22, serial number:1G703203
3.0L TKS-PLUS
Agree with Rick WOW
Also how is Merc getting away with a carb now days

Check with Mercury site and yes it has a Mechanical fuel pump
Both older and this new one uses same manuals, service 26 and TKS 41

After it dies, look down the throat of the carb and pump the throttle. You should see a short stream of fuel squirt in

If you see the squirt then its a spark issue

I had the same thought. Carb? Now a days?
How are they getting away with that?
Does it have catalytic converter(s)?
Very interesting.

Apparently no cats. May be a horsepower or C.I. thing. Kind of like my Bobcat that has a 90 H.P. Kubota motor that is tier 4 without any obvious clean burning tech attached.

I dont think the boat is new , i think the engine or carb is (Quicksilver…). Pretty sure by 2015 at latest all new boat carbed motors were gone. You could however buy new or reman carbed engines

Possible carb bowl runs out and can't get fuel? Make sure mud-Dobers haven't clogged fuel air vent. Extra fuel hose in 5 gal tank to test for possible line/tank blockage. You will have to be creative in supplying an additional fuel line. . If it runs ok, then you have blockage or electric fuel pump/switch is defective
