Hello I was wondering If anyone can help me with a question on replacing an engine cowl "cover".. I have a 1995 evinrude 225hp vindicator,, and the cowl was almost completely destroyed in recent storm by a downed tree (no apparent damage to engine itself thankfully) !!! since that cover is virtually impossible to replace with original, I have found a 1999 evinrude cover online, its a 225hp ficth ,, we have both measured each cover and they are exactly same size width wise and shape is basicaly identical (other than vents on side are slightly different. How can I find out If these two cover would be compatible?? I've tried to contact EVINRUDE but haven't gotten a response back from them... I cant try the replacement cover because its in another state and dont want to pay the price for it and it not fit... ??? Thanks
