elgin 5 1/2 hp 1950's?

I don't have the model number right now. Are these motors any good? It was just given to me for free with the gas tank. The motor has sat for 40 years. Thats what i was told don't know how true. The motor does turn over freely.

okay motors and they do have a following. parts are a bit hard to come by.
