E85 in Chrysler outboard?

Do I have to change jets, oil, mixture and rubber parts?
I have a 55 hp and a 75 hp Chrysler.

E85 would be a Death Sentence for a Recreational Outboard. They quite often can't even Tolerate the Nasty stuff at 10%. The Fuel System was never engineered for it, and it will make mess of it.
Some Racing outboards have used Alcohol, but it takes a lot more Alcohol to make the same amount of Power as Gasoline.
Wait 20 yrs, they may have figured out a way to make lightweight Batteries, and Electric Outboards of a bit of power might actually exist

Plenty of 2 strokes run on alcohol mostly for racing or high performance. The carb and seals would need to be compliant. but the reason alcohol is used is it can run cooler at a higher compression. There are less btus in alcohol and on a stock engine is a large reduction in power

I wonder what has to happen to the jetting in the carbs.
Most of the E-85 compatible engines these days are electronic fuel injection that correct the mixture.
I have a Chrysler Town and Country that is compatible and have not run the high ethanol, but I think that it produces less power on more fuel.
I wonder if the cheaper fuel (when I saw it in California back in 2019 would cost more per mile that regular gas?

I don't know about an outboard motor but my son has an F-150 with the E85 sticker. He put some in it ONCE, said never again claiming that the truck couldn't even get out of its own way (no power) and it burned twice as much to go the same distance

Your outboard would go into melt down. Just like small engines. You would have to build a custom fuel system.

You have to burn 1.8x the E85 as you do E0 to get the same power.

Not worth it
