Seems finding a battery box that will hold 2, group 24 batteries, is like trying to build a fusion reactor.
Years ago I was able to use a tool box, with an 8" x 23" interior. That went with the boat when I sold it.
In the next boat, I managed to locate a box with a 14" x 12" interior.
Now trying to find something for my current project.
Tool boxes have changed. All sorts of irregular shapes. In order
to get the needed interior space, I now would need a 28" by 12.5" tool box. And the hinged lid now requires it to be 3" away from gunnel.
Camco makes a long narrow battery box, but there are more bad reviews than good.
Amazon even puts out a warning that it is a frequently returned item. Very common complaint is that 2 group 24 batteries will not fit inside.
Anyone else find a solution for this?
The boat is a 16' with floor, rod storage, and live well. No storage compartments the
will work, and not even enough room under the splash well.
