driveshaft

1988 125hp force. i pulled the lower unit and when i did the crankshaft spline seal fell off and i am not sure which way the cupped edge went. i think it was up. i have a manual but the picture is not clear enough to tell. please help

Install the spline seal with the lip up, skinny side down.

my mitake. i need to know which way the crankshaft spline seal retainer goes.
