Driveshaft for 1983,115 hp V4

I need help in locating a non OEM driveshaft for this engine.
It appears that the original driveshaft was a 1 piece from the late 1970's to the early 1990's. Some where along the way OMC went to a 2 piece replacement shaft.
I suspect that driveshaft replacement is not that uncomon due to the propensity of the seal under the water pump to fail, leading to irreversible corrosion of the sealing surface on the driveshaft.

BTW- The OMC part number is 5000777 if you need it. Cost is $500.00 new....

Thanks for the reply. Only one of your recommended sites shows up in your post. Would you please re-post the sites. Also, do you know if Sierra or GLM make a replacement. OMC's is a 2 part shaft. Can I simply buy a Sierra or others upper and lower plus the connector?
