Hi, someone just gave me an 87 four winns 160 freedom.3.0 L It's been stored since 2007 in his garage/ Told me it was all winterized in 2007. The problem is there is about 8 gallons of old fuel in the tank. I found someone to extract it for 8 dollars a gallon Is this the going price to empty it ? or should I keep looking. Thanks.

I just got done syphoning off about 30 gallons of old gas (7 years old) and giving it away for free via craigslist. Net cost $0.

Open the tank on top where the sending unit is and siphon it off yourself. The gas still could be ok. I bought a boat that sat for three years and the gas was fine. Dilute it and run it in your mower. If it works ok then dilute it and run it in your car until its gone.
