Should I be draining the raw water side of the motor after flushing it ? The boat is used in salt water. I have been draining it but I'm not sure if it is the right thing to do.
No need to, dry cast iron rusts faster than wet cast iron.If you were in a slip you could always flush it with fresh water either thru muffs underwater or rig up a hose system with some valves.
