there is a latch you flip over when the motor is up, then lower the motor on to it and it won't drop any more. This also takes the pressure off your tilt unit's seals, which clearly are on their last legs anyway. You shouldn't trailer with the motor on the tilt only. You can, however, trailer on the tilt latch (even though the manual says not to) and it won't bounce off, like a transom "saver" will.
But my point was not about the transom "saver" but the transom itself.

Yep,In the marina while steering her in,I hit a huge boulder,THUD!!!It was my bosses boat too...
Told him about it and went to the marina they told me that it happens several times a week and they cant do nothing about it because the dont own the water.......I asked what about a bouy or sign or anything..They said that the boats would hit the sign or the bouy...wtf

Yes home cookin i would do that if i had that latch. It just like a lot of other things i have found out were removed by the p.o. So now i am peicing some of it back together when i can.

Draged it a bit last time bringing it up the ramp on my deck boat but the tilt motor had quit working.
I was expecting it so I used my receiver with an 8" drop from my lifted 4x4 on my fathers stock 4x4 to bring the front of the trailer as low as I could.

Underwater... Every time I leave or pull up to my dock for the whole month of August (the river gets real low here).
But it's just silt on the bottom, only 1 rock neer the end of my dock and my buddy found it for me with his brand new prop!
