For those that were around here back in March of 2003 may remember this post,,,,,,, http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=16165&highlight=fishing=buddy

Now his son is in a serious medical condition. Last wednesday he was taken to Akrons Childrens hospital. They had to defibulate his heart 3 times to get him going again. 4 weeks prior to this they did a surgery to replace a defective valve. His heart wouldn't adjust to the new valve and is trying to pump too much. Akron flew him to Clevelands Clinic where he now waiting for a heart. This boy has had health problems since birth. He is now 20 and was never expected to live over the age of 12.

Any thoughts and prayers for Joey would be greatly appreaciated,,,,,,,don't want to lose another fishing buddy.............SS

Re: Double Bummer

Thanks shipmates,,,,I just don't know what to say. All my other problems are tiny compared to this.

I got a call yesterday,,,,,not looking very good at all in finding a donor. There was one, but something was wrong with the matching. While in the hospital over the weekend, his heart stopped 2 more times. I'm doing my best to refuse the idea he maybe gone soon. He is a good friend of my son. They both grew up together. This is the first time I have witnessed a soft side of my son.

Just praying that something will come about this week and the sooner the better.
