I'm looking for any information on the electric arch option Doral provided to on some models.
Motor model, location, even just some pictures (awkward to get at I understand).
as I'd love to understand how it works and possibility of installing it on my Arch.
Anything appreciated.

Re: Doral Electric forward Arch option

i take photos of every corner of the boat, including tons of the radar arch motors/mechanism. PM me your email and i'll send you what i have.

on my 06 Elegante, each side has a motor and lift, just like the lifts for the engine bay.

electrically, there's a key on one side and a switch on another. i think Doral messed up the install because i have to hold the key while someone else holds the switch. for safety reasons maybe, but we're not launch nuclear warheads here. i may rewire the switch so the circuit is energized with the key in the 'on' position, not 'start' position.

Re: Doral Electric forward Arch option

just to follow up. the key to operate the switch is an ignition switch with 3 positions - acc, ign, str.

originally, the arch was set on the str position which means the key has to be turned and manually held--like cranking an engine.
i swapped it to ign so i can turn the key one notch and leave it in place. then walk to the other side of the boat and hit the switch to operate the arch, singlehandedly. of course i've only needed to operate the arch once, but it was easy enough to swap and it bugged me a bit. although now i may use it to clean the top of the arch.

love my boat

Re: Doral Electric forward Arch option

I have a 2006 Monticello. My electric arch uses a cable to lower and raise the arch.
Hello, new to the Doral club . Looking to add power to the arch . Ant chance you could provide picture of how the cable system is configured . Thanks DH
