Dock ropes through cover

Hello - we finally won a lottery to get a slip at a nearby lake for our 20 foot Bryant. I have a question about mooring covers while keeping the boat at the dock. I was interested in a semi-custom cover that has a bungie style cord. It seems like a piece of cake to put it on fast, no snaps, no poles, easy on, easy off. The question is it seems like the dock ropes that tie off on your bow and stern cleats will have to go under the cover which would cause it to fit loose and wind could get underneath. Do people cut slits into this kind of cover, which voids the warranty, or is this when you have a custom cover made?

Thanks!

Re: Dock ropes through cover

Custom cover with perimeter snaps.
Any good canvas shop will make the mooring cover in such a way as to keep the cleats accessible.
Keep the full cover for land storage....
