Do Center risers need separation plates?

I have a quick Question. I replaced the manifolds on my mercruiser 302 888 with manifolds with center risers. Separation plates didn't come with the gaskets. Do I need to install separation plates for it to work?

Ayuh,....

Without knowing the redesigned lay-out,+ plumbing required by the seller,....

I would Guess that you shouldn't Need the seperator plates.....
