Discolored seats…paint?

Over the years some various gunk and mold and mildew have made the white vinyl seats Quite a mess on my pontoon. I’ve tried everything to get it off but that’s impossible. Has anyone tried some sort of vinyl paint to cover this kind of stuff up? Really will appreciate any recommendations. Cannot afford to have them recovered/replaced. I see stuff here about SEM but not sure if that works for this. Thanks.

I used SEM on my 65 Chevy vinyl seats and I'm really impressed.
Follow the preparation instructions and your seats will come out great.

I've only seen vinyl paint used one time on pontoon seats. Looked OK at first, but they were an eyesore later on. Vinyl was in good shape going into it, they just needed to change the color.

the issue is that the mold and mildew are inside the seats and in the foam and attacking the vinyl (pinking) and the seat needs to be re-done.

vinyl paint will last about a month on boat seats before it starts to fail due to the elements

That makes sense.
I did a seat on my 65 Chevy, and it still looks good 8 years later.
But, yes, I could see that being an issue with boat seats.

Sem makes a vinyl dye that will not change the texture of the fabric, but will color it. We use it to dye vinyl tops on cars. Have you tried toilet bowl cleaner? Spartan Chemical makes a commercial grade that you could dilute, we use it straight out of the bottle to remove small rust spots on cars, but be careful, and read the label.

So I have this that I use and it works Miracles, then condition the seats after.
Also grab you a bucket of warm water, and POMOLIVE OXY DISH SOAP it's Blue. And a Sponge that has a woven mesh over it by the car wash supplies in Walmart.
The Pomolive and Sponge alone will be REMARKABLE and grab THE HAND HELD MR CLEAN MAGIC ERASER.
Not the little guys that fall apart. For some reason the handle one is great which you can buy a box of refills that just pop on and off.
I would do this first.
Hard spots hit with that Spray. And rub with another sponge thingy.
And I use A good Leather Conditioner,Cleaner After . I went through so many products till I finally found the perfect pair. Now I will admit that spray the cleaning power I noticed doesn't last more than 5 Months, Im not sure why.
I would look up coloring wise stuff on Google and hobby lobby to get a idea of what might work. Myself I would be afraid of it coming off when your cleaning your seats or rain , people sitting etc.
So I'm not to sure about that.
If you have a local flea market or even Amazon or Facebook Market Place you might be able to find Upholstery etc.
