differance in mercury and cdi switch box

What is the difference in merc and cdi switch box. I read good and bad thngs about the cdi box. Is the color for the wire connections the same on the merc as it is on cdi. I am trying to cut cost and thinking of buying cdi boxes.

I found Iboat has there sierra's switch box on sale. do these match the mercury's wiring color code better than CDI?

I can't comment on the colour changes, but I can tell you that CDI makes good stuff. I found the best deal on ebay if you can believe it.

They are all great products. The wire colors must match if they're worth anything.....
Go with either is my advice.
What's your original problem? Why do you think the switch boxes are bad?

been a discussion on S&F 'bout switch boxes.. get good and bad with any of 'em.. colors never change on any of 'em.. lotta guys been usein'.tha cheapest ones they find on ebay with just as good results as tha merc's or cdi's............

I hate to say but CDI's quality has went down hill...I only use Serria,OEM products now.
