http://www.marinedieselusa.com/marine-engine-company.html <br /><br />Check these guys out, They use the 6.5L Optimizer V8 from the Hummer in N/A and supercharged versions ranging from 170 to 400hp. These engines will drop in where ever there was a GM V8 and the weight penalty is minimal. I have no personal experience with them, nor have I investigated pricing yet, but they sound like an interesting option.

Thanks, guess I'll have a few questions for these guys, based on what I;ve learned here.<br />Every book about inboard diesels always stress the need to have some way to strangle the air supply. "put a sock in it" so to speak. Runaways are more common than I thought.
