Did I find problem

So 89 3 ltr was running great till 3000 rpm then starving for fuel.removed carb and found seat( needle seat) was loose 2 full turns.tightened it up and reassembled.havent test drove yet but pretty confident that was the issue.any ideas??

Had to say, being 2 turns out it would could lower the float setting, but seems it could also be leaking fuel which would be like raising the float setting

Runs really good now.it always trolled excellent.but now it runs way smoother through all ranges.like I got a new boat.itust have been slowly loosening been chasing a w.o.t.issue for a couple years.happy now the 41 year old boat regains life.yippee.
