Depth Finder Install????

I need a good site or someone to give advice on installing a depth finder on the front of my boat (bass boat) and tying it into the finder at the console. Which I'm sure is a given but so its off the same transducer. And yes I'm a noob in the marine world.

You won't be able to run two fish finders off the same transducer at the same time, so you are going to need a selector switch for the transducer.

What is the make and model of the existing FF in the console?

humminbird 170, but im swapping it for a lowrance lms-160.
selector switch, that makes sense. Not sure how that didn't run across my mind thanks!

You probably know this, but you'll have to get a second Lowrance that uses the same transducer, but it won't have to be the same exact model.

Correct, that's the better way and why you see so many bass boats with two head units.

I had two identical flashers on my bass boat, but they had their own transducers: on shoot-through in the bilge, one on the trolling motor.
