Deep V single ski handles?

How effective are these handles for a beginner slalom skier? I've always used double handles to provide better balance for pulling up but if the constrained Vee works as it should (holding the nose of the ski straight) they might be a hot ticket.

I have used them and have to say that they work quite well. I know of other people that get up on a slalom ski this way also. I believe these run between $30.00 - $40.00 and it sure beats dropping a ski!!
