Dead in the water...

I have a Playcraft Hampton pontoon boat with a Mercury 9.9 ELPT Bigfoot Prokicker motor. The motor just died while out on the lake. Once dockside, I tried to restart and there was no engine turnover at all. Aside from checking the battery and the s/plugs, is there any additional electrical trouble shooting I can do?
Could it be an engine issue?
Appreciate any ideas, and thanks.

There should be a fuse on the motor near the starter selinoid that could have blown. Check inside of the boat console for fuses there also. If it has a bad fuse you will need to findout what caused it to blow and there are several things that can cause it. Check fuses and get back to us as to what fuses you find blowed.

Are you saying the starter won't turn or does it crank but won't start?
