When it came time to landscape our retirement home, I said "honey, I'm not a gardner and I hate yard work. I like to fish" then went out and purchased Costco grass and installed it. When the snow melts, I spend an hour raking off the pine needles and I'm done for the summer.
I've heard it all from "WHAT?? you have PLASTIC GRASS?" to "That is brilliant. No mower, edger, watering, feeding etc"
Which is how I feel about it. It's always green, rain proof, draught proof and yes, dog proof. When I want to go fishing I just go, knowing my "lawn" is gonna look just fine when I get back.
I even had a local pilot drive up to ask me how the heck I kept my lawn so green! (he flies over all the time). When he saw it, I'm pretty sure he was on his way to Costco.
Now if that dang snow would just melt.....the boat is ready!
