dash mount Ritchie compass

I saw one mounted and it looked great in the dashboard. It was mounted between tachometer and speedometer. I am planning to buy/install soon. Anybody have opinion on mounting a compass there.

Performance of a compass is much more imoportant to me than looks.<br /><br />I try to mount them as far away as possible from electrical components. Particularly an instrument like a tach. that has windings (magnetic field) in it.<br /><br />Getting them near a speaker can really cause reading deflections.

DJ couldn't have given you better advice. You want it isolated as much as you possibly can so that it's not being deflected by anything else.
