Re: Customer Service

As long as it is just a greeting I like it. If they are looking to "help" me I feel like I am being pressured and I am far less likely to purchase.

I don't mind a greeting. I don't like those that are pushy and seem to hover over you. I can always tell when I am in a place that works on commission. They are like vultures, all over you from the time you walk in the door till the time you leave, which in my case is usually empty handed when that happens.

I like a greeter that is sincere, not just going through the motions.

Yeah I hate being around places that work on commission. I've stopped shopping at American and some places like that around here because of it.....Plus those places really push those service plans at you cuz they make A LOT more money that way.

I, like Nate, like them to be sincere and appear as if they actually want to be there doing their job. I hate going into Walfart and being greeted by a tweeny who doesn't even look at you and grumbles the greeting as you are passing through the inner doors.
