I have been fixing up this old 76 Magnum Trihull. Got the pleasure of creating some custom upholstery on. I simply used plywood bases that i originally had just carpet on for casting decks.

I ordered my high-density-foam and marine vinyl off of ebay. Just cut out my pieces of foam and laid the vinyl down and cut it to length. I left about 4inches on the bottom side to staple.

I pulled the vinyl over and started applying staples on one side and then worked up each side to make sure vinyl was pulled tight. On the corners i just folded them over just like you would a Christmas present. After i had stapled all the way around I folded my ends under and stapled them down just for a slightly cleaner look.

While your custom made upholstery looks really nice CapPhil, I don't think your boat will float for long. Seems it is laying on its port side.... So be carful on the water! :thumb:

It floats just fine that is the one thing that it has never faltered doing. It floats better than anything else basically. Why would you say it would sink by how its on the trailer?

CapPhil64, I was joking about your pictures being sideways, not that your boat had anything wrong. That's what I was referring too... Sorry you took it wrong...

Any pointers on doing radius corners,Especially inside radius corners like on side panel openings? I'd like to try.

To have a radius corner you could do it multiple ways it depends what you are looking for and the functionality. I can't picture what exactly you are trying to do either.

Inside radius cut into the curve and ztop about double the distance of the thi kess of the wood. Do this several times in the curve. Test on some scrap.
