Its time to Redo cabin cusions in my cuddy. The fabric is starting to fail after only 24 years. Imagine that!

The original material has no waterporrofing but is comfortable. Its hard to keep the kids out after swimming etc but things do seem to dry out.

Any recomendations on material types;

--Wondering if getting something that has some water resistance has merit.
--Anyone had good or bad experince using vinyl or similar?
-- Any favorite suppliers?

Thanks for reading!

I'm a fan of JoAnn's fabrics as you can usually find a coupon somewhere good for a percentage off. I've used their marine vinyl and while it's only been a year, I haven't noticed any issues with it. I'm definitely a fan of vinyl. Not as "cushy" to sleep on, but much better for the environment it's in. Make sure you invest in good quality thread otherwise you'll be wasting your time doing the recovers.

There are many choices over the internet but as stated above Jo-Ann's always has a coupon and you have the chance to put your hands on the marine vinyl before you buy it.

There are a few posts on here that will help you along - check this post out http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=379388
