anybody ever do cross country when they were younger?

i had my 2nd meet this morning

i got 22:29-30 that was a 10 second improvement from last week with 22:39

When TD was young enough I was already too old.

Good luck with the running! I never ran for distance but appreciate the effort and endurance it takes!

When I was in high school, I could do it in under 19 minutes. I think the best guys at my school were in the low 18's. Then I got this bright idea that I would quit running and smoke for 20 years. Now I am 41 and quit smoking for 5 months so far. I ran a 5K cross country race today. I ran it in about 35 mins. That was 4 minutes slower than my last one because I stopped running while my ankle healed from an injury.

Keep at it. You are working to improve upon something that most people can't do at all. Think about that!

I wish I had started in 9th grade instead of 11th. Most of all I wish I hadn't smoked! Some people in my age group today were running in the 25's.

our best kid is running about 16:45

i'm in the 10th grade by the way:D and i have 2 working boats :p

lol well you can say 1 then:p

i still have to fix the overheated motor lol....2 more bolts to go!

let's just say that working on your own boats makes boating a whole lot cheaper.

Cross country?...I'm consider it lucky just to cross the street and back without wheezing, and that's walking.{lol}....Enjoy it while you can CG147 :D
