Engine Block is Different, but your mind is made up, facts will only cause you conflict.

If you would reread what I posted earlier...

BTW, a Service Manual will not give the Specs for Port Height/Width, or Cylinder Head Chamber Volume.

Your earlier post said the block is different and when i ask how you say look at the earlier post which does not answer it.😆

Read this twice before posting to this topic im trying to say this as amicable as i can:
If you do NOT have facts about 20-30hp chassis and 40hp powerhead being not interchangeable even by custom modding, move on to some other topic, thank you.

Tell you what. Perhaps You look up the engines part manuals, compare the listings, and maybe you might learn a thing or two

Hard to believe the attitude of this young fellow.----Hard to believe he thinks that a 40 / 50 HP with a totally different block might fit on the 30 HP.-----Hard to believe that he thinks the 30 HP lower unit can handle the extra power as well.----This whole concept will not work.-----I want what this young fellow is smoking !

It's important to know what you don't know.
The worst is when you think you know everything but don't know squat.

Im quite fine if it would be impossible but both are 2 cylinder blocks which physical size difference isnt quite that much, its gonna be tight but i'd understand if we were talking about v4 to 30.

Also why couldnt you use 40-50 lower unit when doing a frankenwap like this? It'll be custom if it pans out anyway.

Anyway this is so crazy idea that there probably isnt people dumb enough who have tried it out so i gotta do my research as Jimmbo said.

You could have an exhaust housing adapter made and extend the drive shaft but the lower won’t take it. If you are planning on using a 40hp lower then you are swapping the mid too. So Just have 30hp decals made for a 40.

Very entertaining indeed.------Fellow won't accept facts from someone who has worked on motors since 1968.----Working on his first motor perhaps and no idea on 2 stroke engines and outboards !!

I think he is not a newbie on the board, but perhaps someone who has been or is facing a ban, and is trying to goad others into a verbal assault.

As much as i love good conspiracy theories and false info i'd like you Jimmbo to discuss these offtopics in some other thread devoted to that. Though i bet it wouldnt stop you from posting some brainf*rts here.

Matt167 i agree and the decals would be the simplest way around this.
