Cranking Battery At Walmart?

I was looking for a cranking motor an found a everstart at walmart 875 cranking amps is this good enough for a starter?Thanks

Had pretty good luck with the Wally World batteries, of coarse it is all in how you take care of them, you can kill any battery if it si neglected.

The last walmart battery I had lasted 4 years and that was prior to getting an onboard charger so I hope to get 5 out os these.

And 875 should be plenty big for any engine, you don't say what engine you are cranking.

have had 2 of their deep cycle batteries.. Bought one and the other came with the boat.. One went with a boat I sold.. Still starts it from 4 years old.. Other came with the boat I have now... Both have been surprising good.. They are the cheaper black ones too

There aren't that many different companies making batteries. They all come from the same few factories.
If you're interested in maximizing the replacement interval, consider purchasing a marine grade AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) cranking
battery. In my experience they last significantly longer than the standard wet/flooded cell models. They do cost significantly more, but they stand up to abuse better, don't loose their charge as quickly. I also keep my boat and motorcycle batteries on a floating point style charger for winter storage. That also seems to lengthen their useful life.

Depends on what you are trying to start, but in most cases, 875 CCA will be above the minimum recommended.

Walmart's bats are made by Johnson controls which ownes 49% of Interstate.
The contract was given to Johnson about 3 months ago
My contact at Interstate says that the bats are alittle lighter in build but theres not much difference.
He thought that Walmart was going to offer a 12 month total replacement
